Times and Dyno Sheets
06/18/00
Well now there is a new tire combination for the street/strip and I have
installed 315/35/17 drag radials. With this tire combination I am able to
get better traction, on bad days I throw as good MPH in the 1/8th as I did on
that best run of 11.55. I'm throwing 101+MPH and plan to have some good
passes in soon. Goals are to be in the mid to high 10's soon, hopefully
the next time I go to the track. I plan to video tape and have
pictures. So stay posted and expect some new times. I hope to be
back at the track end of July 2000. Getting prepared for Vegas 2000 where
the competition is quite heated. Also I plan to do some more tuning to
extract more power and get everything situated, so Dyno sheets to come soon
(expect more power).
11.55 @ 131 -- 07/03/99
Well it was a Saturday at the local track, a bracket race competition. I decided to go out there and have a little practice session. Well its the last pass of the day and I'm just practicing launching, at this time I had stock wheels and had some bald 275/40/17 drag radials, with plans to install new ones that week. Well the car would never hook (once out of the hole, or after the launch) the whole day so to get some kind of traction I had a remote Profec switch on the steering wheel and was launching at 18-19psi of boost, bumpin up to 23psi at top of 2nd or once into 3rd. I was averaging at about 128 MPH that day on the descent/good passes. Well I didn't think that pass would be any good with the tires that way. This is the time slip I got when I picked it up, needless to say with the traction problems I was happy with the MPH. Also realize that this was FL Summer Heat in July, which just made me happier.
621 Rear Wheel Horsepower -- 731 crank horsepower (15% drivetrain loss)
This dyno was done on May 15, 1999 with absolutely no tuning, hence the big dip in Horsepower that will be fixed with tuning, and more horsepower is expected under higher boost and with more tuning, I'm shooting for 650 and maybe as high as 700 rear wheel horse. At 670 rwhp that equates ruffly to 800 crank horespower with a 20% loss.
Stay tuned for higher HP dyno sheets and faster 1/4 mile ET's

What was done to it to do this? Well the car was a 11 second car, but a bad launch
prevented the 11 second timeslipe, and I didn't have much time at the track before I jumped
into the twin turbo upgrade, so here is the simple combo -- 3" downpipe, Greddy BL
exhaust, HKS FCD, wide open boost, HKS Hardpipe kit, Greddy Sidemount IC, OS Giken twin
disk clutch and flywheel, BfGoodrich 275/4017 drag radaials, eibach springs
345 Rear Wheel Horsepower
This dyno was done at the 98 Orlando Supra meet, very few things were done, I didn't even
have exhaust then, all that was done was intake, HKS Hardpipe kit, HKS FCD, 3"
downpipe, boost was at 14-14.5 lbs (no boost turn up or modification)
