My Supra Pics and Mods
Well this project got outta hand a long time ago, and I've got so many pictures and so much to say I figured I'd make another page just so the load time will be easier to stand and so that you can see some new stuff. May take time to load. Enjoy
Well this new rendition, the Stage I as I like to call it, maybe Stage II, began when I had a boosted stock twin turbo vehicle. I did lots of research, bought all the Japanese magazines, especially Hyper Rev volume 4 and volume 29 (supra only catalog) and noticed 1 thing that stuck out above the rest, that all the big Japanese power cars were using twin turbo kits, with the knowledge that the twin kit will put out more power and spool better then virtually any single kit on the market and the idea that it was different to do a twin kit and at the time maybe there was 1 person in the nation that had it. I knew it was time to step up. In August 1998 the first wire transfer of many transactions between me and powerhouse racing for this project began. As more testing and studies came threw, Jarrett found secrets and ways to tune the twin kits and make more and more power, of course this required more and more mods, it got quite out of hand, but the capabilities of this kit was just awesome, what first started out as expectations for a intercooler, fuel system and fuel management, became more. Well it all adds up. On February 4th, 1999 I began my drive to TX. Between August and February I just could not find time to get there, and I was sick and tired of waiting, so on the 4th I took the plunge. Well as expected when I got to TX more money was spent on parts, as I realized how much work it took for installation, I plunged in and bought at least a few thousand dollars more in parts then I had to, but I didn't want to put them in later, so I spent it, the temptations of Jarrett's shop are endless. I didn't expect to spend as much as I did but Powerhouse Racing is 1 tempting place. I almost bought a built motor :) Well my planned trip of going home and coming back, flying home on the 8th or so got cancelled as Jarrett convinced me to stay and put the car together in 1 week. This is where the hard work starts, a good 5 days more of 14-16 hr work days began. The calculated time for Stage I was probably about 80-100 hours, with both of us working like mad men. Well the car was done on Fri, the trek home was brutal, no time for tuning sad to say, but the car was done, and the settings were very close to perfect just by street tuning and Jarrett's knowledge. This was one crazy trip, something I will remember for some time. It also was one expensive trip. Well here are some things we did during the trip and a lot of other photos.
We Pulled the motor, since everything was being changed, this proved to be a much easier route, as the next pictures will show.
The above picture is why its easier to pull the motor, the plumbing when the kit is in the car is a pain, there are so many hidden bolts that its just silly, pulling the motor was a lot easier. Plus it made installing a lot of other things easier like pulleys, seals, intake, fuel system, clutch, cams, all of it.
Stock passenger headlight has been cut out to give more airflow and
cooling to the turbo, better known as ram air.
This modification is setup so that the headlights work, and I can be seen with this on the
car on Fri and Sat nights. Makes a huge difference on the stock turbo setup.

Ahh front mount intercooler, not be be mistaken for a radiator.
Close up of the front mount
Top view of the front mount
behind the front mount intercooler is a large oil cooler by Grex/Greddy, that's the piece with GREX written on it and a -10 fitting and line coming out of it (blue fitting)
That's 1 big intercooler, they don't get much bigger. Beautiful to with all that polishing.
What's missing? The fan, the manual fan is removed, and hence the low end is quicker do to a drivetrain weight savings of 10-15lbs. Fan kit by Powerhouse Racing. Also seen here is the Greddy pulley kit (blue) and a Unorthodox Racing Underdrive pulley kit.
Seen between the engine and the intake is the Powerhouse Racing fuel rail and injectors. Also seen is powerhouse's intake manifold and their coated valve covers.
