Ok many people ask about this and what must be done, this is truely an easy mod and the improvements although not really measured there is an improvement, what does this mod do.   Well its temporary and can be restored at any time and what it does is basically prevents the computer from retarding the power and lets all the power or more power get to the ground and does not retard the car or engine.  The first time you try this and power shift into second you are bound to notice the difference.  The timed improvement, well that depends on your mods, my guess is that there is at least .1-.3 improvement on the track with a good driver.  I tried this once and got about .1 improvement at times, don't know if it was a fluke or not but you can definetly feel the difference.

Also some say you can pull the fuse in the fuse box, this seems to work also.   People have mentioned that pulling the fuse can interfere with ABS I do not believe this since there si an ABS fuse and since the ABS does work fine when the fuse is pulled. Also the fuse seems to do exactly the same thing and acts identically to the Trac harness removal so it leads me to believe that the results are the same.

***Caution*** the tall silver looking canister right next to the sensor is the power steering canister and at the bottom side of the canister it tends to get hot if the car was just shut off, so please take caution if removing the harness if the canister is hot or warm.

Ok no you don't need any tools for this procedure, you see the piece from an upper view what you are trying to do is disconect the wiring harness from the sensor (DO NOT PULL THE SENSOR OFF THE THROTTLE BODY) you basically want to remove the harness, this is a standard OEM type harness, it has one little plug that locks it down, all you have to do is push the plug in by hand and yank down to remove the harness, you can see from here facing the outside the little tab that must be pushed in to remove the harness.
