March 6-8th 1998
Yes, its finally here, a meet in the SouthEast. Make plans now to attend, mark your calendars, get your maps ready, and prep up those beautiful cars of yours. It doesn't matter where you live come one come all.
Here is a schedule and arrangements that have been made so that if you show up somewhere along the meet you can contact us and meet up with us during the meet.
Who all have been invited, so far this is a Supra meet officially. The SOGI organization has been gracious enough to invite other groups also such as the MR2, RX-7, 300ZX, Lotus, NSX, Ferrari, Porche lists at this time.
Sponsors and Prizes
Erebuni Corp --- 1 certificate for 30% off of any body kit
Discount Tire -- 1 certificat for 30% off of any set of performance tires, 1 certificate for 30% off any set of performance rims, they may demo some tires also
Holiday Inn --- gift certificate for 1 free room for 1 day (will go to person who comes the farthest)
Jay Marks Toyota -- Jeff Watson is planning on bringing a few items for raffle, still uncertain of the items but something should be coming
Performance Dynamometer Services -- is giving between 2-3 dyno's away depending on the turnout, 1 for Most Horsepower, 1 for least horsepower/weight (they'll need the service)
Speedtek Performance --- is giving 1 set of AEM Adjustable Cam Gears (exhaust side) and 1 set of Unorthodox Racing Underdrive Pulley's (crankshaft pulley) for MkIV Supra's..... Speedtek is located in Jacksonville, FL and has many monstrous Supra's that will be attending the meet
Stillen --- Adam Hume at Stillen ext 138 says Stillen will be giving a prize and demoing a new product, more info to come, plans are in the works
Yokohama -- Gift Certifcate for 50% off any set of tires or buy 2 get 2 free, they will also be sending out banners and broshures
Magazines and People Attending
Speedtek should be bringing down some monsterous supra's and maybe a few other monsters
Sport Compact Car is sending out a photographer
Grassroots Motorsports Magazine may be sending out a photographer to capture the event
Schedule
Friday March 6th
4:45 meet up at Holiday Inn and get early Dinner or Snack at Applebee's at 5:00, Applebee's right across from hotel location
6:00 go to Orlando Speedworld Dragway for Test and Tune night to see how fast our cars are on the 1/4 mile will cost $10 to get in (includes dragging privileges if you wish to race)
11:30 Late nigh snack at Denny's on 434 (alafaya) and Colonial
Saturday March 7th
6:45 Holiday Inn Restaurant Early Breakfast
8:00 Meet up at Holiday Inn Hotel for convoy to dyno
8:15 leave to go to dyno, about 1 hour from Holiday Inn, should be a fun/fast trip
9:00 Dyno runs at Performance Dynamometer Services their phone is (904) 427-0390
official sign in and recreation, plus information from different sponsors
For lunch we may order in Pizza during Dyno sessions
5:00 leave dyno head to Holiday Inn -- official hotel for SOGI Meet Orlando, FL
6:00 Meet at Holiday Inn for words from sponsors, and a sponsor would like to briefly describe a business opportunity, followed by raffle of prizes
7:30 Dinner at Applebees across from the hotel
11:30 Cruising and a little street terror
3:00am Late night scavenger hunt to last till 6:00 am where the winner will be awarded a prize, meet up at holiday inn for scavenger hunt
Sunday March 8th
6:30 For the die hard enthusiast that is up this early or didn't sleep, Breakfast at IHOP on Colonial
8:00 Autocross at Martin Marietta (will be supra only class -- arrangements in process) Also if you were unable to make it to the scavenger hunt and have lost the group at this point, its ok directions will be given and a second convoy will be setup to pick the rest of you up....

Directions
If getting off from 417 to University Blvd go straight pass Dean road (7-11 on Left and circle K on Right). You'll pass a total of 3 lights 1st is Dean, 2nd is ???, 3rd is Rouse road. After rouse about a few blocks up there will be a little green sign saying Holiday Inn Select on the Left , you want to go here, there is a Fazolies, Boston marked, BK etc on the right...If you hit 434 or Alafaya Blvd you've gone to far, take a U turn and go back. When you go into the side for the holiday in it deads and you must go right or left -- go right, follow the turn around to the Holiday Inn its on the left side.
To Speedworld Dragstrip -- from hotel go to 434 (Alafaya Blvd.) and take a right off of university, go straight about 3 miles or so and you'll hit a big intersection known as 50 or Colonial Blvd. take a Left and head straight into Bithlo, its about 10 miles or so down, you'll come to a yellow car parts store on the Right Discount Parts or something, keep going the Circle K is on the right also its real close now, keep going and you'll see Speedworld Billboard and its right there on Right side, go in and stay to the Right side and you'll come to it, cost is $10 a person, if you go past you'll see a sign for 520 and pass 520 you've gone to far, U turn and come back
To Dyno -- same direction as Speedworld, from hotel go to 434 (Alafaya Blvd.) and take a right off of university, go straight about 3 miles or so and you'll hit a big intersection known as 50 or Colonial Blvd. take a Left and head straight into Bithlo, its about 10 miles or so down, you'll come to a yellow car parts store on the Right Discount Parts or something, keep going the Circle K is on the right also its real close now, you'll see a sign for 520 go that way take a Right and keep going down, you'll come to a sign for 528 go that way toward I-95 North, then come to exit 83 and get off here, go towards Edgewater heading E. when you pass the Rail Road tracks the first Right is Guava take that Right and keep going the place is Performance Dynamometer Services and is on the Left side. To Martin Marietta for Autocross -- Go to 417 S and head toward Orlando, go to 408 and head West or toward Orlando, do not go toward International airport, stay on the Left Side. You'll pay 2 tolls, total of $1.25 and head toward I-4 West, keep going and you'll take Kirkman south exit, keep going on Kirkman and it'll dead into Martin Marrietta, stay on Left side on Kirkman take no exits, tell the gate operator your here for sports car club and he'll give you directions.
